5 out of 5 stars A Great Companion to the Text   December 10, 2007

I use the text that accompanies this for AP Chem and this book is excellent in teaching the many types of problems of Chemistry. It does only give even answers, but for each of these is thoroughly explained and work is shown. Some even answers are omitted, however, if the answer is a basic comprehension one. Before the answers, this book gives multiple problem types that are common in each of the chapters and outlines methods for solving these as well.
Overall a great book. I doubt I would understand as much as I do without it.

(Note: I bought this edition although I have edition 8 of the text and it mostly follows along number-wise. Usually, when numbering of problems does differ, the problem is just written under another number close in value.)

5 out of 5 stars A great solutions manual!   October 20, 2007

What sets this solutions manual apart from others is the fact that it lays out key concepts and problem solving skills for each chapter. Most manuals just give you answers only. A definite must have for a serious chem student.
